πŸ—οΈ Checa Tu Obra

Bidirectional review platform for the construction industry -- know the client before you work for them, and the contractor before you hire them.

πŸ“‹ What does this module do?

Checa Tu Obra is a reputation platform for construction -but unlike normal review sites, it works both ways. A contractor can look into a potential client before taking the job (do they pay on time? are they reasonable?), and a client can look into a contractor before hiring them (do they deliver? quality of work?).

πŸ”„ Bidirectional reviews

Both the client and the contractor rate each other after a job -it's not a one-sided rating.

πŸ‘· Full crews

A contractor can register their crew -helpers, tradespeople- even before those people have their own account.

⭐ Verified badge

A paid trust seal a contractor can earn to stand out over unverified profiles.

πŸ”„ Why It's Bidirectional

Most construction review platforms only let the client rate the contractor. Checa Tu Obra starts from the idea that risk runs both ways: a contractor also needs to know whether a client pays on time, keeps changing their mind, or is reasonable to work with. That's why the search screen says "Search contractors and clients" -both profile types matter equally in the system.

⭐ Leaving and Receiving Reviews

After completing a job, both sides can leave a review of the other. Reviews can be directed at the person/company as a whole, or at a specific crew member who worked directly on the job -e.g. rating the tradesperson who did the installation, not just the contracting company overall.

πŸ‘· Crew and Unclaimed Accounts

A contractor can add their crew members to the platform -even if those people have never signed up themselves. This lets reviews be specific ("helper Juan did great work") instead of generic. Until that person has their own account, their profile shows up marked "Unclaimed".

This is intentional: you don't need to wait for every worker to register before their reputation history starts building. The history already exists by the time that person decides to claim it.

πŸ”“ Claiming Your Profile

If a crew member was added by their employer and wants to take control of their own profile -see their reviews, respond, update their info- they can "claim" it by completing registration with their email. Once claimed, the profile moves from "Unclaimed" to "βœ“ Verified" (claimed), and that person now controls their account independently of whoever originally added them.

πŸ’‘ Claiming a profile doesn't erase the review history it already had -reviews left while the profile was "unclaimed" are preserved.

⭐ Verified Badge

A trust seal a contractor can purchase (shows on the site as "Get Verified") to stand out in search results over unverified profiles. It doesn't replace reviews -it's an additional seal that the platform confirmed that contractor's identity/legitimacy.

πŸ’‘ The purchase button for this badge only appears if it's already configured in the system (its cost is set from the platform's achievement catalog) -if you don't see it, that configuration probably hasn't been activated yet.

🎯 Contractor Ranks

The more reviews you submit, the higher your rank climbs β€” it's assigned automatically, nothing to request. It's a way to show how active you are within the Checa Tu Obra community.

Rank 1 β€” Novice

Rank 2 β€” Active

Rank 3 β€” Expert

Rank 4 β€” Veteran

Rank 5 β€” Elite

πŸ”§ Troubleshooting

I can't find a contractor/client in search -- they may not have any profile (not even unclaimed) on the platform yet; only people already added by someone or registered themselves show up.
A crew member of mine shows "Unclaimed" and wants to access their account -- they need to use the claim-profile flow with the email they were registered under; you don't need to do anything on your end.
I don't see the Moderation button -- that section only appears for platform admins.
