Why we ask for what we ask for when you sign up, and how logging in works.

πŸ“‹ Why We Ask For Each Field

πŸ‘€ Username

What you'll type to log in β€” has to be unique, at least 4 characters.

πŸ“§ Email

Used to confirm your account, send you important notices, and recover your password if you forget it.

πŸ†” CURP

Mexico's unique population registry code (like a national ID number). We use it purely to make sure each person only has one account β€” not for anything else. Not Mexican, or don't have one? Leave it blank β€” the system generates a placeholder automatically so you can still sign up.

πŸ”‘ Password

At least 6 characters, stored as a one-way hash β€” nobody at chzr.llc, including us, can look up your actual password.

βœ‰οΈ Confirming Your Account

After you sign up, we email you a confirmation link. Your account works right away, but click that link when you get a chance β€” it proves the email address is really yours, which matters if you ever need to recover your password.

⏳ That link expires after 24 hours. If it lapses, you can request a new one from the login page.

πŸ™‹ Was Your Account Created For You?

Sometimes someone else β€” a customer, a business you work with, a platform module like Checa Tu Obra β€” adds you as a contact before you've ever signed up yourself. That's intentional: it lets your reputation and history start accumulating even before you log in for the first time.

If that happened, you'll get an email inviting you to claim your profile. Clicking it lets you pick your own username and password and takes over an account that already has real history attached to it β€” nothing was ever hidden from you, you just hadn't logged in yet to see it.

πŸ”’ Only the person who controls that email address can claim the profile β€” nobody else can do it on your behalf, including whoever added you.
